Disadvantages: Low strength, but it can be strengthened through cold work hardening. Coarse grains are easily produced during annealing.

Scope of application: seamless oil guide pipe (3003 alloy) and pop can (3004 alloy) used in aircraft.


4) Aluminum profile 4 series

Aluminum profile 4 is mainly silicon, which is not commonly used. Some 4 series alloys can be strengthened by heat treatment, but some 4 series alloys can not be strengthened by heat treatment.

5) Aluminum profile 5 series

The strength of 5005 is the same as that of 3003, with good processability, dissolution and corrosion resistance. 6) Aluminum profile 6 series

Generally, the aluminum materials at the middle end and above are basically 6 series. Series 6: Features: mainly magnesium and silicon. Mg2S is the main strengthening phase, which is the most widely used alloy at present. 6063 and 6061 are used most, and other 6082, 6160, 6125, 6262, 6060, 6005 and 6463.

6063, 6060, 6463 have low strength in the six series. 6262, 6005, 6082 and 6061 have higher strength in the six series. 7) Aluminum profile 7 series
